I finally learned to scuba dive. My cousin, Tonyboy Ongsiaco, a dive master himself, recommended his friend and fellow dive master / instructor, Alfie Santos, for one-on-one lessons. Alfie started out with lectures, then exercises at the pool (equipment handling, emergency out-of-air procedures, buoyancy, entry, surfacing, among other things) and, finally, the "check out" dives at Planet Dive, Anilao, Batangas. Alfie was systematic, thorough, patient, cost-efficient and fun, which made the entire learning process worthwhile and enjoyable! Below are my first dive logs.
